Recording with First Conference Call

1.      Find a client (family, friend, or acquaintance) who is willing to do an assessment and receive feedback.  Ask them if they are willing to be recorded and if so, can you call them by their real name or use a made up name.  Also, you need to ask them if they are willing to let your classmates listen to the recording.  If at any time during the recording or after they say they do not want this to be shared, do not share the recording and delete it.

2.      Go to: https://www.freeconferencecall.com/

Enter Your Email, click Sign Up

Take note of your Meeting Credentials:

Dial-in Number: ( __ ___ ___) ____ ____ ____ - ____ ____ ____ ____

Meeting ID: ___ ___ ___ - ____ ____ ____ - ____ ____

Host Pin: ____ ____ ____ ____
3.      Set up Account Configuration
Create Your Password  (New Password)  (Confirm Password)
Click Save
Skip Custom Hold Music
Click Continue
On top tab, click “Invite”
Under “Create a Meeting”
Type “Subject” Assessment Feedback Session
Choose Date, Time, and Duration (set for 1 hour even though assignment is only 10 – 15 minutes just in case you run over or start late).
Type client’s email address
Click “Send Invites”
4.      5-10 minutes before the scheduled time, call the Dial-in number (noted above) and enter Meeting ID# (noted above) when prompted. This information will be on the email message also.
Press * (star) when prompted to indicate you are the host
Type in Host PIN (as noted above)
There will be a ding and it will say, “Please announce yourself”, then you can start speaking to see if your client has arrived.

5.      When you client arrives, ask the following  “(NAME), I’m going to ask this question two times, do you give me permission to record this call and share it with my Adler Graduate School classmates for review?”  If they say “Yes”, then press *9 to record session, press 1 to confirm, type in Host PIN again.

6.      Begin and finish session then hang up.
7.      On top bar, click “Account Info”
scroll down to bottom line and click “History/Recordings” with circular arrow symbol
Click “Don’t Show Me Again” for contact information
Scroll down and click “History & Recordings”
Your recording will be under Recording Options
Click “Share”
Click “Copy”
